Manufacturers and Food and Foundries Businesses Generate their own electricity at 3.8 to 5.2 cents /kWhr for 20 years

50% grants allow business to reduce their power costs to 3.8 to 5.2 cents /kWhr a significant reduction from 25.6 to 33.2 cents/ kWhr most industries are currently paying for their electricity.

The Clean Technology Manufacturers and Food and Foundries Investment Program provides 1:1 grants to existing Australian manufacturers and food and foundry businesses to invest in solar power systems, energy efficient capital equipment and low emissions technologies, processes and products.  $200,000,000 is available now.

To date over 250 businesses have received grants from $54,000 to $4,800,000 for the installation of Solar PV Systems and energy efficiency measures and equipment at their sites.  Solar PV Systems are being installed for plastics manufacturers, poly and steel tank manufacturers, food processors, wineries, ice works, cheese makers, small goods producers, steel fabricators and many more similar industries.  See the list of Grantees here.

Petar Basanovic, Managing Director said, “ Any business that does not take advantage of the Clean Technology Manufacturers and Food and Foundries Investment Program Grant is missing out on an opportunity to lock in their electricity price in the range of 3.8 to 5.2 cents /kWhr for the next 20 years. Gifts like this rarely occur and should be taken when they are available.”

Nil Capital Outlay For Solar PV Systems and Energy Efficiency Measures

Water and Energy Savers have partnered with Investec Bank (Australia) Pty Ltd  for the supply of financing of commercial Solar PV Systems and energy efficiency measures for businesses, schools, colleges and universities around Australia .

For schools, colleges, universities and businesses not eligible for the Clean Technology Manufacturers and Food and Foundries Investment Program Grants, Investec Bank is willing to provide a 100% finance package with financing terms of 4 to 7 years available. Generally the finance term is set at the payback period  so the monthly electricity cost savings pay for the system and energy efficiency measures installed.

For eligible businesses :-

1.    50% of the funding is available via a grant from Clean Technology Food and Foundries Investment Program
2.    50% can be funded via finance or lease from Investec Bank (Australia) Ltd over 4 to 7 years .
To date about half of our clients fund the Solar PV System using internal funds so that they obtain an immediate operating cost saving.  Internal rates of return on the investment have ranged from 16% to 38%.  With these levels of return the investment becomes irresistible.
The other half of our clients have used up to 100% financing.

Engineered Solar Solutions and Energy Efficiency Measured

Commercial Solar PV Systems between 20kW and 100kw are serious power generation equipment that requires an engineered solution.   Similarly commercial energy efficiency measures and equipment upgrades require engineered solutions. Water and Energy Savers are consultant engineers that specialise in energy efficiency and demand management.  Based on client requests, some 15 years ago, that we project manage the implementation of the solutions recommended, we expanded our business model from the traditional consult, audit, calculation and design of energy solutions to include project management of the supply and installation of the solutions recommended.   We now provide the complete one stop shop service.

Pay only 6 to 8 cents /kWhr for your Electricity for 25 years
Schools and businesses in WA, SA, Qld and NSW can reduce and fix their electricity costs to only 6 to 8 cents /kWhr for the next 25 years, by installing their own commercial solar PV system and energy efficient lighting. In Vic and Tas the cost ranges from 7 to 9 cents/kWhr.

Most clients start with a 20 or 30 kW Commercial Solar PV system, as we can get quick approval from your network provider for commercial solar PV systems up to 30 kW.  If you already have a solar PV system installed we recommend that you upgrade your system to make a total of 30 kW of installed power.
Once the electricity cost savings are seen, generally within a month or so, most clients quickly expand their solar PV systems to their maximum roof capacity available or 100 kW.  Approvals for systems greater than 30kW generally take 2 to 4 months in most states.

If you do not have capital available immediately to take advantage of the opportunity available, Water and Energy Savers have partnered with Investec Bank (Australia) Pty Ltd  for the supply of financing of commercial solar PV systems and energy efficiency measures for schools, colleges and businesses around Australia. Payback periods are matched to or can be set lower than your monthly savings.

Call Water and Energy Savers now on 08 9386 2366 or forward your details to solar@water.net.au and we will arrange a free consultation and site visit.   Ideally, forward your last 12 months of electricity bills and we will undertake an analysis of your school or college.  If you already have a solar PV system installed please give us the details of the size of your system and the approximate date you had it installed to enable us to check your current savings.

Commercial solar PV systems 20kW and over are serious power generating equipment and require an engineered solar solution and specific design.  Similarly commercial energy efficiency measures and equipment upgrades require engineered solutions. Water and Energy Savers are consultant engineers and project managers that specialise in demand management and energy efficiency and have been providing services to schools and businesses since 1992.

Solar PV systems have three critical parts, inverter, wiring and solar panels.  Water and Energy Savers use only premium quality inverters such as SMA, Aurora PVI and Fronius, irrespective of the quality of panels a client may choose. The difference in cost between premium inverters and other brands is generally less than 10%.  We do not compromise on quality.
